Project Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday May 6th
Project Description: Volunteers will start and at Sharon United Methodist Church Education Building, located on Dillman St. behind the church.
The church address is 23913 Lockport St and is located on the southeast corner of Lockport and Dillman.
Volunteers will be given maps for locations of the grocery bags to be picked up. Each driver will take 2-3 passengers to pick up the bags and deliver them to Sharon UMC Ed. Building. Collection bags will have been previously distributed to local neighbors. After pickup, all volunteers will return to Sharon UMC Ed. Building to sort, package and load supplies to prepare for delivery.
You will also have the opportunity to learn about Green Harvest and the ongoing needs in Plainfield and how they together with local partners are meeting those needs.
This project is available to all ages and a great opportunity for families to work on a project together!
Project Supplies: 4 – 5 drivers provide their own automobiles to pick up food.
Project Age Restrictions: Drivers need to be at least 18 years of age. All other volunteers can be any age.
